Well, here we are back on Prince Edward Island. It’s just about time to say goodbye. M and I had only one full day there, and we did as much as we could considering the weather.
Before I go on, is anyone else hating this new “Add Media” feature that WordPress has come up with? I’m sure I’ll love it as time goes on and I get used to it, but this change for the sake of change stuff always bothers me at first.
I suspect that means I’m getting old and set in my ways. That’s not good. Therefore, I am now delighting in what is new just for the sake of delighting in what is new.
The first three photos were taken after our hike in Greenwich. The rest were taken early the next morning when M and I went out for a last look at the dunes and beach.
Look at that sea, girls — all silver and shadow and vision of things not seen. We couldn’t enjoy its loveliness any more if we had millions of dollars and ropes of diamonds.
~ L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
hark, now hear the sailors cry,
smell the sea, and feel the sky
let your soul and spirit fly,
into the mystic…~ Van Morrison
The weather had not improved much overnight, but at least it wasn’t raining when we went to say goodbye to the red cliffs.
On our way back to the B&B to pick up our stuff, we explored a couple of the back roads.
Where I fell in love with these:
Aren’t they gorgeous? I had never seen lupines other than in photos prior to this trip. We saw them just about everywhere throughout the parts of the Canadian Maritimes we visited and in Maine.
That should do it for this edition of Thursday Travels. We’ll hop on the ferry to Nova Scotia next time.
Here in the Bogs, we’re having a lovely, sunny day. It’s still on the chilly side (high in the 40s), but the sun makes it feel warm.
Sunset last night was gorgeous. The moon-set this morning was gorgeous, too.
That’s about it from PEI and the Bogs for today. Thank you for dropping in.
Have a delightful day, evening, night… wherever and whenever you are on the spectrum of time.
P.S. I’m not minding the new “Add Media” change at all now. See? I told you I’d get used to it. :)
